Helmet Head

about

for helmet

lyrics

Almost like a daydream
Nights are getting long

Feeding all the ferals
Sat across the road

Begging for their food when
I get up for work

Fills my heart with saccharine
Gives me a sort of purpose

Now where the hell is helmet
Worrying the worst

Wonder if hes fast asleep
Belly full of food

Seven in the morning
First a sigh of relief then a scream when i saw he was missing half his head

Eight in the morning
Barely breathing all this death

And he spoke to me
Like in a fairy tale
Ancient and calming
Talked in a slow detail

I love what you have done
For me for us all this time
Youve gave your all for me
Now i can sleep in peace

I scream in protest
I cant leave you here all alone
He smiled through the pain
Said this is how it has to be

I cant forgive this nature
I cant forgive the violence
